Pastoral Care at Wigmore Primary School
Our teaching staff understand the ‘whole child,’ they are effective practitioners who have been attachment trained, who regularly access good quality teaching and learning continuous professional development. All staff access regular safeguarding training and strive for the best outcomes for the children in their care. They see the child first.
We have several support systems in school to ensure our pastoral care of each child is effective. As well as a child’s class teacher there is an Assistant Head teacher for Inclusion, Mrs R Willis, a Pastoral Care Team Leader, Ms K Godfrey, two full time Family Workers and several support staff, who all work very closely together.
Should your child require any additional emotional, social, or behavioural support the Pastoral Care Team can be a point of contact and can provide 1:1 time for children, small group support or they can work with the class teacher and / or parents.
If you need additional support or advice on any matters that affect your children, our Family Workers, Miss S Swann and Mrs T Derose are happy to help.
