Carole Crabtree Wigmore Primary School Head Teacher
We are a two form entry school located in the Wigmore area, on the edge of Luton. Our school has been a part of the local community since opening in 1984.
At Wigmore Primary School, we aim to provide a school environment that is welcoming, safe, attractive and stimulating. The curriculum is structured to be appropriately challenging and differentiated in order to meet the range of needs and interests of our pupils. We recognise the importance of pastoral care and we aim to develop children’s social skills. We encourage children to recognise and understand the diverse society in which we live and to be sensitive towards the feelings and needs of others. Self-esteem is important too. We provide many opportunities to publicly recognise pupils’ personal achievements and to share and applaud the achievements of others.
Wigmore is a lively, successful school, which offers a range of excellent facilities and subject expertise. We aim to build a positive partnership with parents through regular consultation and reports on pupils’ achievements and progress.
We are proud of our school and our pupils’ achievements.
